Mezclando colores con FIMO/Color Blend with FIMO

Hola a tod@s! Hoy os enseñaré una técnica que he usado en mi próxima colección (muy pronto a la venta), he intentado mezclar tres colores y el resultado me ha parecido genial. Como ya sabéis, todos mis productos están hechos con arcilla polimérica FIMO, bueno pues, he mezclado tres colores de arcilla: melocotón pastel, cuarzo azul y jade verde, haciéndo escalas de tres colores.

Hi everyone! Today I will show you a technique I have used for my next collection (coming very soon), I have tried to blend three colors and I find the result awesome. As you already know, all my products are made out of polymer clay FIMO, well I tried to blend three colors: pastel color peach, blue ice quartz and gemstone color jade green.

Primer Paso/ 1st Step

El primer paso es amasar los tres colores de FIMO hasta que esten suficientemente blandos para poder trabajar con ellos. 

The first step is to knead the three FIMO clays, until they are soft enough so that we can easily work with them.

Paso 2/ Step 2

En el siguiente paso he hecho seis circulos de color melocotón, cuatro de color cuarzo azul y seis de color jade verde. He dejado uno de color melocotón sin mezclar, en su color original, y a los demás les he ido adiéndo sucesivamente 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 y 5/8 partes de azul cuarzo. Después he repetido el mismo procedimiento con el FIMO azul cuarzo, añadéndoles partes de jade verde, y a los circulos de color jade verde, añadiéndoles partes de azul cuarzo.

Then I made six peach-colored, four ice-blue and six jade green circles. I have left the first peach-colored circle in its original color, and I have gradually added 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 and 5/8 parts of ice blue to it. Then I have repeated the same procedure with the ice blue FIMO, adding to it pieces of jade green and then with the jade green, adding to it parts of ice blue FIMO.

Paso 3/Step 3

El paso tres consiste en mezclar bien las combinaciones que hicimos previamente. Como podéis observar, algunos de los colores no son homogéneos, los he dejado así a propósito, es que me encanta el efecto de azul cuarzo en el melocotón y el de jade verde en el azul cuarzo. Una vez que las mezclas estan hechas, a la masa se le puede dar el efecto que uno desea, después se hornea a 110°C/230°F, aproximadamente 30 min. Como podéis ver, las posibilidades de trabajar con FIMO son infinitas, y el límite es... DONDE LLEGUE TU IMAGINACIÓN!

Step three consists of kneading the combinations we have previously made. As you can notice, some of the colors obtained are not homogeneous, I love the effects of ice blue on the peach color and the effect of jade green on the ice blue. Once you have the colors mixed, you can give the clay the shape you want, then it is hardened in an oven at 110°C/230°F for approx. 30 min. As you can see, the possibilities you have to work with FIMO are infinite, and the limit is... WHERE YOUR IMAGINATION ENDS!
