Hoy celebramos el Día de laMujer, Felíz Día a TODAS las mujeres del mundo, de todos los países,
continentes y razas. Un tal 8 de Marzo de 1857, un grupo de obreras textiles
salieron a las calles de Nueva York a protestar por las míseras condiciones en
las que trabajaban. Querían luchar por la igualdad en el trabajo, igualdad de
sueldo y por un horario reducido para poder pasar más tiempo con sus hijos.
Desde entonces la lucha de la mujer ha conseguido mucho, de hecho las estadísticas
nos enseñan la cantidad de mujeres que ocupan puestos directivos en empresas
por todo el mundo.
Ser mujer ya no significa ser del
sexo débil, somos muy fuertes y podemos conseguir todo lo que nos propongamos,
sin que nadie nos diga lo que tenemos que hacer.

Today we celebrate Interrnational Women’s Day! It
all started on March 8, 1857 in New York City when women from clothing and
textile factories had staged a protest against very poor working conditions and
low wages, and claimed for a reduced working time, so that they could spend
more time with their children. Nowadays, statistics show us the change
achieved thanks to the continuous women’s struggle, there are many women with
executive positions all over the world.
Women are not considered to be the “weaker sex”
any more, we are strong enough and we can achieve whatever we want, and no one
could tell us what we should do.
